Alasdair McMorrine
Born 1948 in Scotland. Studied at the Glasgow School of Art. 1966 - 1979 Graduated Diploma of Art.
Has lived and taught in Scotland, Germany and England and painted and travelled in North Africa, India and Europe.

- 1973 - 1974 Lived and painted in Inner Hebrides leading to first one-man show in the Alexander gallery, Edinburgh, followed by three months painting in North Africa.
- 1974 - 1978 Commissioned by the Gaelic language Society to Illustrate a Poetry anthology and to produce a series of Gaelic Language Posters.
- 1980 - 1982 Lived and painted in the West Highlands and Donegal leading to an exhibition of Highland landscapes and Irish drawings at the 1980 Edinburgh International Festival followed by five months painting and travelling in India and Nepal and a third one-man show of Himalayan landscapes at Eden Court, Inverness. Commissioned by the Acair Publishing Company to illustrate two books of Hebridean short stories.
- 1983 - 1985 Lived and worked in what was then West Germany. Two further exhibitions of landscapes.
- 1984 Galerie Schöne Flöte, Holzwickede, GDR.
- 1985 drawings, prints and pastels, Galerie Jakobi, Witten GDR.
- 1987 - 1995 Director of Art, Cranleigh School, Surrey.
